Having a Snuggletastic Time at the Team Tyne Innovation Exhibition
During our Summer Break, we attended Team Tyne Innovation's Ocean Rowing Exhibition at HMS Calliope in Gateshead. Team Tyne Innovation will be competing in the 2018 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge, a 3,000 mile race, known as the World's Toughest Row!
On show was the Atlantic Rowing boat that the team will be using and the innovative products and services provided by brilliant North East businesses, colleges, universities and organisations that are sponsoring Team Tyne Innovation on their epic challenge.
The crew, David, Claire, Guy and Phil, were also on hand to talk about what it takes to prepare for such a challenge and the charities that they are supporting.
Also on show were the Onesies we handmade for Phil and his Team.
As each onesie is handmade to order, we are able to create bespoke All-in-Ones for each individual member of the team. Meeting the wants and needs of Phil’s team, we will be creating Onesies in our Thick Bamboo Towelling.
Our Luxury Bamboo towelling is breathable and extremely comfortable against the skin. 56% Bamboo, 24% Cotton, and 20% Polyester, by mixing the bamboo and cotton the result is soft, warm with a slight stretch mixed with the benefits of being insulating and absorbent.
Bamboo is also able to retain it’s antibacterial qualities that help to reduce the bacteria that live on our clothing, despite repeated washing, and it’s great insulating properties keep Phil and his team feeling warm in the cold weather.
Each Onesie was tailor made to each team members specifications and measurements to ensure maximum comfort and were branded up with Team Tyne Innovation's logo, our logo and sponsorship logos.
Team Tyne Innovation worked alongside students from Newcastle College to come up with the boat design. Student Caitlin Bray won the design challenge and the boat looks fabulous!
After the event, Kate attended the cocktail party that took place on the River Tyne, with a stunning view of the Millennium Bridge.
