Life in Lockdown - Becky

Posted on: 12/06/2020

Lockdown has been an unusual experience for everyone, and in these uncertain times I realise how incredibly fortune I am to of had a lovely home and garden to relax in.

At the beginning of lockdown, I decided to move in with my boyfriend and lockdown together.

As Aaron usually works long hours, we've enjoyed being able to spend time together, trying out new recipes, cocktail making, taking part in virtual quiz nights with friends, being out enjoying the hot and sunny weather, and I even tried my hand at barbering when he needed his haircut!

Originally from Hong Kong, Aaron's parents have been making delicious traditional Chinese dishes which I've really enjoyed trying - especially desserts!

We're also incredibly lucky to live right next to the coast with lots of lovely beaches to explore.

I celebrated my 24th Birthday, and was gifted a delicious take away afternoon tea from Kate and the Team from The Running Fox Cafe in Felton.

I stayed in touch with family and friends through daily video calls, and WhatsApp groups so we stayed connected even though we were all far apart.

I also completed my final project for my Level 3 qualification in Digital Marketing.

In between being furloughed, I have also been working from home, and keeping in touch with the rest of the team through email and Zoom Video Calls. Practising Social Distancing, I also popped into the factory to embroider all of your lovely onesies.

We welcomed 3 new members of the family, Gilly, Teddy and Rosie. Teddy and Rosie came home to my parents last weekend...

And Gilly arrived at my Sister's at the beginning of lock down.

We started with FaceTime play dates, and more recently we've been able to have socially distanced meet up's at the beach.

So much seems to of happened since lockdown began, and although most of of us have had to stay apart, the past few weeks have made us realise what is important and has brought us even closer together.
