Bestival is a 4 day (award winning!) music festival that takes place at Robin Hill in the heart of the Isle of Wight.
It all started when BBC 1 DJ, Rob Da Bank, dreamt of one day creating his vision of how the modern day festival should be.
Alongside Creative Director and wife Josie da Bank and co founders / partners John and Ziggy from Get Involved, his dream has now come to life!
Bringing some magic to the shores of the Solent and spreading the love worldwide, the foursome are changing the face of independent festival culture.
Thanks to Rob’s fabulous musical brain, the line up is one of the most electric line up’s you’ll see!
His wife, Josie, also casts her creative magic over the festival from an original boutique campsite experience, to the Bollywood Cocktail Bar, a Wishing Tree Stage, fancy dress and even a landlocked Port!
Everything comes together to make Bestival one of the most wonderful festivals around.
Top Tips for Bestival
Although Bestival is an amazing experience, it's still important to make sure you're comfortable so you can have the best festival experience ever. We've put together a few top tips in our Bestival Survival Kit.
- Take Comfortable footwear! You'll mos tlikely be standing and walking the majority of your time there, so make sure you keep your tootsies feeling as comfortable as possible. We recommend trainers, and a pair of wellies for the mud.
- Take snacks and something to drink. There are lots of yummy food that you can buy at Bestival, but something nice to snack on is great to have when watching a performance or if one of the group gets a bit peckish. It's also good to have bottles of water handy to prevent dehydration - especially if it's hot and sunny.
- Suncream - very, very important!
- Waterproof Poncho. Easy to stick into your bag and pop on when it starts to rain.
