Phillip's Onesie Adventure - Part 10

Onesies Around the World Part 10 So its into Big Sky Country I go… Travelling across Idaho & Montana I pass through some of the more remote parts of the United States.. I had a good night sleep a the Spokane Hilton and a cases full of CLEAN clothes!! Oh what a feeling to the traveller who is on the road… CLEAN CLOTHES!!!! The weather is cold as I get into higher altitudes. Snow also greets me in parts, and how lovely it was. Good thing for me it wasn't too heavy. So no impact on the highways. These couple of days are long days in the car. Straight roads and not much in between… As I move east, I arrive into Helena, Montana where I will bed down for the night. The next day its off to Billings. Good thing about today, its only a short stint in the car. Just 4 hours. However, I found a little thermal pool en route where I stopped for about an hour to have a good old soak. Yep I think my body needed it. Outside, it was cold… Very cold… I found this really good for me and a good little rest. Unfortunately due to my schedule I wasn’t able to stay longer. The only other place I know of that thermal pools are always available is New Zealand… So its back in the road heading east on the Interstate 90, and through the snow I go. Temp dropping all the time. Snow and rain greeted me as I headed through Bozeman. Further up the road, I call into a wild Bear exhibit. Bears rescued from the wild and taken care of by local bear keepers. Not having bears in Australia, this was good to stop in and see. Good thing is that the bears are kept in really good conditions and treated with absolute love and care by their keepers. My accommodation in Billings was the Best Western Clock tower Hotel. A nice comfortable night sleep. Onesies keeping me comfortable as always. But of course my stomach normally dictated what I would be doing. As I was only here for 1 night, it was off to what they call Service Station BBQ…  And my god the food was lovely. Another demolition job on my part. Blues BBQ was the venue for this demolition. When I talk about Service Station BBQ, its pretty simple…. A BBQ restaurant set up inside a Service Station. Pretty simple concept! So its back to the hotel after another hearty meal and yes at this point of my trip, my waist is expanding and my weight increasing… Oh well… What happens on tour stays on tour!! I have a good sleep again and I'm all packed up. Today its a 6hr trek into North Dakota and onto Bismarck. I remember this day… Its April 25th. ANZAC Day. A day where we remember and give thanks to those who fought for us in War’s both past and present. I was lucky enough to stop for lunch and listen to the Sydney Dawn Service on Sydney radio through my iPhone. A most wonderful moment. Even more so, a mate of mine was producing the production and I text him to say I was listening from North Dakota. I arrive to my hotel at Bismarck, another Best Western. Almost reminded me of the type of hotels you see on those American movies… Planes, Trains & Auto mobiles does come to mind. Its located just off the Free-way. I have dinner at the hotel and then retire to my room for a sleep. No time to see anything in Bismarck, it was just a night stop ahead of another 6hrs behind the wheel as I make my way to Minnesota and Minneapolis. Onesies Around the World Part 10 Minneapolis is my next stop, I will spend the next 3 nights here and in my next instalment, Onesies will BE NEEDED!!!
