 Onesie Super Saving Students!

Onesie Student Survival Guide! With freshers starting in a matter of days, all of you lovely lot will be getting ready for uni! We've put together a few helpful tips to help you get settled in;   1. If you're moving into student accommodation, then you're more than likely moving in with a group of students you aren't familiar with... Just remember to smile and be friendly - you never know, you could become the best of friends! To prevent any food thieves (you will be sharing a kitchen) label your food with your name, or you could go one step further by putting food colouring in your milk! Once you get to know each other, perhaps you could take turns in cooking meals, whether it be lunch, dinner, breakfast or some home-made snacks such as cakes and cookies.   2.  Don't leave your essays and assignments 'til the last minute! Although you may be having a fab time with your new found friends, it's important that you still get your work done. Besides, once it's done, you can have all the fun in the world!   3. Remember to stay safe! Always tell your flatmates where you are going and roughly what time you'll be back. Keep a list of taxi companies in your phone so you always have one to call. Don't walk home alone - always walk with your friends or get a taxi home. Always keep your drink with you, and keep the top covered.   4. Be sociable. Everyone is in the same shoes, in a new place, full of new people, so be as friendly as you can. Freshers is a good place to start - it's a week of fun-filled nights to get to know everyone around campus. If you've moved away from home, you may start to feel homesick. Put up pictures of you and your friends and family around your room. Set up skype, call them, message them - just a couple minutes of chat can change your whole day! Don't sit in your room all day, if you're feeling lonely go out and see your flatmates - chances are, they're feeling the same way.   5. Look for bargains! Wilkinson's, Poundland, B&M etc, are great for finding good deals and offers. It's important to save as much money as you can - being a student isn't cheap. Top Tip - By heading to the supermarkets either early in the morning or later at night you may be able to pick up a few more bargains than usual. Buy in bulk - when there are offers on, for example 2 for 1, toilet rolls and washing up liquid - stock up! Don't waste your change, keep a money box or jar and fill it full of those pesky 1p, 2p , 5p and 10p's - they'll all add up in the end! Make sure you budget - although you may be tempted to blow out that student loan, you want to save as much money as you can - it won't last forever! To save you on heating bills, why not order yourself a bespoke onesie? You'll be able to design your very own (that way, although they'll be tempted, it'll be obvious if someone was to pinch it) It'll keep you warm in the winter whilst wrapping you in love - they make a fab home comfort! Your onesie will always  be there for you, whether it be  after a late night during freshers week, a long day of lectures, a down day of feeling homesick, or a cold and frosty winter morning.   We hope these top tips help you this year, and a massive good luck to everyone starting University in the next few weeks!
