Where has your onesie taken you this May Day Bank holiday? We all have that extra day to wear our onesies this weekend and that's thanks to the May Day Bank Holiday!!! May Day has been a traditional day of festivities throughout the centuries. Traditional British May Day celebrations can include Morris dancing, crowning the Queen of May and dancing around the Maypole. Different cities have different traditional celebrations that take place on 1st May each year. In Oxford it is custom to gather below the Great Tower of Madgalen College at the early time of 6 a.m. and listen to the college choir sing. Kent boasts on hosting more traditional May Day festivities.  A procession of Morris dancers are led through the town on the May Bank Holiday.  Later a traditional Sweeps Festival is performed, again by Morris Dancers. There's the May Day Run, which is not actually runners, but thousands of motorbikes taking a 55 mile trip from London to the Hastings seafront.  This event has taken place for nearly 30 years. Dancing around the Maypole is a tradition that takes place throughout many cities, we would absolutely love it if some of our onesie wearing fans have danced around the Maypole in their onesies. After learning a little a bit about the rituals and customs of some of England's cities, what have you been doing this bank holiday weekend? Have you taken your onesie anywhere?
