A TOP classical musician who is about to embark on a charity climb of Africa’s highest peak will be protected from the freezing nights by a specially designed sleepsuit. Designed by Ashington firm The All-in-One-Company, Dame Evelyn Glennie and her business adviser Brenda-Gillian, will be kept warm as they attempt to raise £25,000 for Able Child Africa, which provides educational facilities for disabled children in Africa. Dame Evelyn is a patron of the charity. The intrepid pair contacted the Ashington-based business asking for its warmest all-in-one sleep suits. Temperatures on Mount Kilimanjaro can plummet to minus 25 degrees. The All-in-One-Company founder Kate Dawson said: “We were delighted, of course, to help them in any way we could. It is a fantastic charity and they are facing an incredibly tough challenge.” Dame Evelyn said: “The help of supporters like The All-in-One-Company is vital for us. When we heard about their sleep suits we thought they would be ideal for the sort of conditions we will be facing on the mountain. “I want to make a sustainable difference to our next generation. I have good reason to recognise the importance of education for all children. “It empowered me to make my own unique journey in life. The children supported by this charity desperately need inclusion. A disabled child in Africa is too often without hope. Enabling these children means enrichment, quality of life, and reduced dependency for them, their families and communities.” Visit www.evelyn.co.uk for more details about Dame Evelyn’s challenge, which starts on November 25
