The All-in-One Company - International Womens Day

International Women's Day  is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, and today we're celebrating Kate Dawson and The All-in-One Company.

The idea began, as good ideas usually do, by needing to find a solution to a problem.

Kate Dawson’s problem was sleepless nights and she needed a solution FAST. Henry, Kate’s son, was a peaceful sleeper but her daughter Lilly was quite the opposite – a little fidget, especially at night. Those covers would come off and Lilly would wake feeling cold, but her little feet still warm. Good old mum would have to go up and tuck her back in each night, sometimes more than once, so that she could go, snuggly, off to sleep again.

Trying to find a warm fleecy sleep suit for children over 18 months of age to keep Lilly warm at night seemed like an impossible ask. Kate searched up and down the High Street but not one single snuggly sleep suit could be found. So…

Research lead her to making some prototypes. Kate wanted to create Onesies that were available in every size. As most sleepsuits came with attached feet, and poor Lilly's feet were warm even when the rest of her wan't, Kate was inspired to create a website that allowed you to Create-your-Own Onesie where you could decide exactly how you wanted your Onesie to look.

Kate went on to design a website that allowed you to  choose whether you wanted a hood, pockets, attached or detached feet, a tail and even embroidery.

On 19th October 2008 The All-in-One Company was born, bringing with it the birth of the Original All-in-One Onesie!

Rather than offering you a collection of off-the-shelf products, we offer you our unique online All-in-One Onesie builder, which is compatible on desktops, tablets and mobile phones and allows you to create your very own onesie to your very own specifications. We offer luxury fabrics such as plush jersey sweatshirt, our gorgeous cotton jersey T-Shirts along with the fabulous fleece range. You decide how you would like your onesie and we hand make it, with love, especially for you.

Over the past 8 years we have Handmade over 61,000 onesies right here in the UK, delivering to over 200 different countries Worldwide.

We help people all over the world create their perfect All-in-One. We celebrate uniqueness, and believe that every person should be able to design their own Onesie that is handmade especially for them.

It doesn't matter how tall or short you are, what your shoe size is, body length, leg length or sleeve length, we offer a Made-to-Measure Service so if you can't find your size on our builder, or if you have any special requirements, you can let us know and our fabulous development team will be more than happy to help.

Our production team consists of 6 fabulous women, Edith, Lynn, Mandy, Alison, Yvonne and Trina, who use traditional skills that have been passed down through generations. You can read their stories here.

In 2016, we also became Members of The Guild of Master Craftsmen.
