Attention all Nutella lovers... Today is World Nutella Day! A day to celebrate the deliciousness of this incredible chocolatey hazelnut spread. How do you like to eat your Nutella? Do you spoon it out of the jar? Do you spread it on toast? Maybe you melt it over marshmallows and strawberries? Some people even pair it up with bacon! It seems like there are endless ways to enjoy Nutella, and we've put together a list of Nutella recipes, along with chocolatey inspired onesies for the ultimate Nutella Day experience.

Nutella Brownies - all recipes UK

Method;

Pre heat the oven at 350f / 180cMix everything together until smoothDivide the mix between 12 cupcake papersPlace in oven for approximately 30 (check after 20 mins)    

Nutella Cheescake - Nigella Lawson

Ingredients;

 
50 grams Digestive biscuits (For the chocoholics out there, you could even use chocolate biscuits) 75 grams unsalted butter soft 400 grams Nutella at room temperature 100 grams Hazelnuts toasted and chopped 500 grams cream cheese at room temperature 60 grams Icing sugar Chocolate Pouring Sauce: 700grams dark chocolate 2 tablespoons heavy cream 4 tablespoons powdered sugar, sifted 4-5 tablespoons water, warm

Method;

 
Break the digestives into the bowl of a processor, add the butter and a 15ml tablespoon of Nutella, and blitz until it starts to clump. Add 25g of the hazelnuts and continue to pulse until you have a damp, sandy mixture. Tip into a 23cm round springform and press into the base either using your hands or the back of a spoon. Place in the fridge to chill. Beat the cream cheese and icing sugar until smooth and then add the remaining Nutella to the cream cheese mixture, and continue beating until combined. Take the springform out of the fridge and carefully smooth the Nutella mixture over the base. Scatter the remaining 75g of chopped hazelnuts on top to cover and place the tin in the fridge for at least four hours or overnight. Serve straight from the fridge for best results
Place chocolate and heavy cream in a bowl over simmering water. Let chocolate and cream sit for 2-3 minutes to melt without stirring. Then slowly stir mixture to combine. Add powdered sugar and mix to combine. Add water 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing after each addition until pouring consistency is reached. Set aside and let sauce cool to warm.

Nutella Doughnuts - Forever Baking

Ingredients;

250g plain flour 30g caster sugar 110g caster sugar for coating 1 tsp salt 2 tsp dried yeast 2 eggs zest of half a lemon 75ml warm water 65g butter, softened and cut into small squares 400 ml vegetable oil

Method;

Put all the ingredients for the doughnuts, except the butter, into the bowl of a free standing mixer fitted with the dough hook. Work on a low speed for about 4 minutes, until combined and  the dough is elastic. While the mixer is still running, add the butter piece by piece, until incorporated. You should no be able to see any butter . This will take about 6 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and cover with cling film. Set it aside in a warm place to rise and double in size. When the dough has risen, punch it down, and put onto a well-floured surface. Gently pat down the dough into a square about 1cm thick and cut out 12 doughnuts using a 5cm round cutter. Place the doughnuts on a lined baking sheet, cover with cling film again, and set aside to rise for an hour or until the doughnuts to puffy. When the doughnuts are finished their second rise,  they should look a little puffy. Place about 3 inches of oil into a saucepan, heat the oil over a low flame, until it reaches 170C. If you don’t have a sugar thermometer, place a small piece of dough in the oil, and when it bubbles and rises to the surface, the oil should be the right temperature. Fry the doughnuts a few at a time for about 1 minute each side or until they are golden brown. Place the doughnuts on paper towels to soak the excuses oil, and  then toss them in the sugar. Make a small hole on the side of the doughnuts and pipe some Nutella into each doughnut!

Ingredients;

2 to 3 tablespoons Nutella250ml semi-skimmed milkfew drops vanilla extract

Method;

  Pour milk into a measuring jug until it reaches 250ml. Add one tablespoon of Nutella and whisk until there are no lumps. Do one tablespoon at a time to blend in the Nutella and milk easier.   Slowly add a few drops of vanilla extract. Whisk until all the mixture is blended (no lumps). Pour into a large glass and serve.

Nutella Ice Cream - All recipes UK World Nutella Day!

Ingredients;

300ml double cream4 egg yolks100g caster sugar100g Nutella5 Ferrero Rocher (crushed/blitzed) (optional)  

Method;

Lightly whip the cream until it starts to form soft peaks. Beat the egg yolks and sugar together until the mixture goes pale. Soften the Nutella in the microwave on medium power for about 30 seconds. Mix the cream, egg mixture, Nutella and Ferrero Rocher together. Put mixture in a freezer suitable container and freeze for around 6 hours, or until frozen!
