Christmas Tips and Tricks

Christmas Tips and Tricks Christmas can be a stressful time of year, so we want to make it as simple as possible! Here's a few our out top tips and tricks to help you out this year!
  • Wrap your Christmas tree lights around cardboard. This way they won't get tangled - and you can even 'plug' them in through the cardboard. to avoid extra tangles. You could also try wrapping them around a coat hanger.
  • You can make your own window snowflake decorations by using a hot glue gun!
  • Using disposable baking trays could help cut down your Christmas day washing up. Recycle them if you can.
  • Store breakable baubles in coffee tins (wrap them in newspaper first) or egg cartons!
  • Start wrapping early - this will save you a lot of last minute stress! We also recommend different wrapping paper for each person, this way you'll not get muddled up and you'll know which gifts are for who.
  • When wrapping awkward or bulky gifts try using a disposable table cloth, they are a lot easier to work with - and you can even get Christmas themed ones so your present will still look fabulous.
  • To stop wrapping paper unwinding, use an empty loo roll and cut down on side. This creates a clasp for you to wrap around your wrapping paper. Wrap tin foil around the loo roll to make it look more festive!
  • For a super easy festive breakfast, our your pancake mix into a squeezy condiments bottle. Dip festive cookie cutters into cooking oil, place in the pan and squirt your pancake mix into the shape. Once the batter is firm, remove the cutter and your pancakes will hold their shapes.
  • Loosing the end of the tape can be a huge frustration when it comes to wrapping presents, try sticking a small piece of card to the end of the tape each time you use it. This will prevent you loosing the end, and will make it easy to grab onto, saving a lot of time. You could also use a penny, or even a bread clip.
  • When the family comes over for nice mug of hot chocolate, try using a potato peeler and peel down one side of a chocolate bar. This creates decorative swirls of chocolate for you to sprinkle on their drink.
Why don't you give them a go? Make your Christmas more merry!
