Onesie Reveal!

We have another exciting onesiereveal! This time, it's our horns! Whether it's a devil or a buffalo, our horns are the perfect final touch. A horn, usually curved and pointed,  is a hard permanent outgrowth, consisting of a core of bone encased in keratin-ised skin. (Keratin is a family of fibrous structural proteins. It is the key structural material making up the outer layer of human skin and the key structural component of hair and nails.) Animals that have horns are cattle, sheep, goats, giraffes, and, of course, our Devil Onesie and Buffalo Onesie! Animals have a variety of uses for their horns, some include; defending themselves from predators, fighting members of their own species for territory, and dominance. Usually, horns are only present in males, however in some species females can also have horns. Of course, when it comes to our onesies, our horns are for everyone, male and female! Horns may also be used to root in the soil or strip bark from trees, and horns often act as a display for males to help them 'woo' the ladies.  Did you know... That some animals with true horns use them for cooling? That's right, the blood vessels in the bony core allow the horns to function as a radiator!
