Onesie Auditions
Last weekend saw the launch of this year's X Factor.
Simon Cowell was joined by fellow judges, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh
This is the 11th series for the UK Talent Show, that started back in 2004.
There are 4 stages;
Stage 1: Producers' auditions (these auditions are un-televised, and decide who will sing in front of the judges)
Stage 2: Judges' auditions (either arena or audition room)
Stage 3: Bootcamp
Stage 4: Judges' houses (The contestants have now been split into groups; Girls, Boys, Over 25's, and Groups, and have been assigned to a certain judge).
Stage 5: Live shows (final)
To celebrate the launch of the 11th series, we've been thinking of our most memorable X Factor auditions;
1- Number 1 has to be Leona Lewis!
Her cover of Over the Rainbow was absolutely stunning! Leona went on to win the X Factor in 2006.
2 - Singing one of our all time favourites As Long As You Love Me by The Backstreet Boys, Jedward made an impression on everyone.
Just like Marmite - whether you loved them or hated them, everybody knew about them.
3 - Sam Bailey, last years winner, blew us away with her audition, belting out Beyonce's Listen.
4 - Ella Henderson made an impression on the judges with her own original song.
Although she didn't win, Ella released her debut single Ghost on June 8th, which reached number 1!
5 - Of course we couldn't forget One Direction! Although the boys, Louis, Harry, Zayn, Liam and Niall, all audition separately, the decision was made to form the boys into a boyband - and what a fabulous decision it was!
Again, the boys didn't win, but they have become the WORLD's biggest boyband!In the four years One Direction have been around, the boys have released 4 studio albums, won 19 awards, preparing for their 6th tour, and their debut, number 1 single' What Makes you Beautiful' sold 5 million copies!
Did you know that as of June 2014, a total of 35 number-one singles have been achieved by artists who have appeared on the show
, including Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, JLS
, Olly Murs
, Cher Lloyd
, One Direction
and Little Mix!
We're so pleased to see the X Factor back on our screens - one our of most favourite things to do is to curl up on the sofa watching the X Factor in our
Onesies!
