Onesie Off-cuts Help Cancer Patients

Onesie 'Stitched With Love'     We found this lovely little article in The Northern Echo about members of Tursdale and Hett Women's Institute joining forces with Maggie Taylor and Sheila Swainston, who are both volunteers at the Macmillan Cancer Information Cancer Information Centre at Bishop Auckland Hospital. Their aim was to make life more comfortable for cancer patients, and they did exactly that. The ladies spent a very busy day at Hett Village Hall, in County Durham, making Breast Buddy cushions. The breast buddy cushions are ideal for women who have had mastectomies. They managed to make over 70 of the cushions - all finished with a matching bow, and a message that read 'Stitched with love'. All of the Breast Buddy comfort cushions were made out of the off-cut fabrics that we, at The All-in-One Company, have donated. Miss Swainston said 'We are delighted that we managed to make so many Breast Buddies and I know that the patients will be very pleased to receive them.' It is important to us that all our off-cut fabric does not go to waste, but is instead donated to various schools, colleges and charities to be made into something extra special. The Women at Tursdale and Hett Women's Institute have taken our off-cuts and have made them into something truly amazing that will help many cancer patients.
