Sky Tyne and Wear: 'The Wonderful Onesie: Romper Suits Reinvigorate Ashington Textile Industry'

We had a very exciting week last week when the fantastic Jenny Wotherspoon, Sky Tyne and Wear, visited the factory. Jenny came to interview Kate and our production staff about how The All-in-One Company™ had reinvigorated Ashington's textile industry. We now have 22 staff, many of which had, due to the decline in the industry, lost their jobs in previous manufacturing companies. The All-in-One Company™ are extremely proud that it is in fact onesies that are bringing these skills back to the North East. Kate said: "This is the area where people have got the genetics of being machinists, being cutters. This is the area where their Mum's, Grandparents have done this job." It has been said that a onesie is a fashion craze, but we would disagree. We believe there will always be a market for all-in-ones. Kate said: "To me it's not just some fashion craze. They're a snuggle up item, they're about keeping warm and feeling comfortable and I definitely think there is longevity in that." Trina, one of our fabulous machinists, added: "When I was a little girl growing up, I used to see all of the women, hundreds of women, walking home all happy, having a laugh and a carry on. I would think 'that's where I want to be, that's what I want to do' and now I can thanks to The All-in-One Company™."
