The All-in-One Adventure goes North-East

The All-in-One Adventure - North East Onesie Wearing Tourist AttractionsOn Tuesday and Wednesday our All-in-One back packer, Rach, and trendy Teddy, Ted, set off on a tour of some of the North-East's latest and cultural sights and attractions. Here in the North-East we are lucky to have the best of both worlds, beautiful beaches just a small 20 minute drive away from busy central city life and contemporary art and architecture. Rachel and Ted started by visiting The Angel of the North, in Gateshead.   It is a steel sculpture of an angel, 20 metres tall, with wings measuring 54 metres across.  The Angel has taken residence with us since 1998 and is now known as one of the North-Easts greatest landmarks. After feeling incredibly small (Ted feeling even smaller) they took a short car journey down the Quayside.  The Quayside boasts numerous bridges, amazing architecture, cultural art museums and a trendy night life.  It is home to the Gateshead Millennium Bridge (the world's first and only tilting bridge!), The Tyne Bridge (since become a defining symbol of Tyneside), The Baltic Mill - Contemporary Centre of Art (housed in a landmark industrial building, the biggest gallery of it's kind), The Sage (purpose-built music and arts centre by the River Tyne) and so much more. Rachel and Ted decided to venture to the very top of The Baltic and look out of the viewing terrace.  Perfect for sightseeing along the river, and of course a platform for onesie lungeing.
